We made a trip to Osoyoos many (9!) years ago on our honeymoon and have been wanting to venture back ever since.  So when my sister-in-law and her husband invited us out there we jumped at the opportunity.

Being quite a drive from Saskatchewan we decided to use up some points and fly.  We landed in Penticton, which is a short 45 minute drive north of Osoyoos.

The Okanogan is a beautiful area, everywhere you look you see vineyards and fruit trees…sometimes you forget you are in Canada!

The first day after dropping our stuff off we headed to Nk’Mip Resort for some lunch and beautiful views.  On our way back we stopped at Adega Estate Winery, tasted some wines and picked one to sit outside on their patio to enjoy.

We spent quite a few of the days at the beach, soaking up the sun and floating in the water.  It was perfect!

I would say that my favourite winery/restaurant was the Hester Creek Winery.  The views, food, and overall feel of the place was out of this world!  If you ever get a chance…make sure you go!

I just loved the doors into the restaurant!

The view from up the highway of the town and valley is absolutely spectacular, highly recommend it…especially at sunset!

There’s no question we’ll be back again, there are more wineries to visit and wines to taste and sun to soak up…we can’t wait!
